Rhys-Tom arrived on Saturday to watch and talk to the other drivers before the race on Sunday. It was a cloudy day and some rain had fallen on the Saturday.
Rhys-Tom saw the track for the first time on Saturday, this was his reaction to the track :-
Before long race day was here and I was ready to support the local drivers from South and West Wales.
This track definitely lived up to Rhys-Tom’s expectations of how close the battles were on track between drivers, but this only made the racing even more fun and more entertaining for the viewers on the side of the track.
The weather was a factor all weekend on how the race results would stand at the end of the day. The rain turned up for my classes final (Senior Rotax) and the decision for slicks or wet tyres were everyone’s uncertainty. The rain kept coming down which then confidently led to the decision of wet tyres for all the drivers just before the final.
This is one of the furthest events in this championship from Rhys-Tom's home in West Wales, it took him 4 and a half hours to travel to Fulbeck. At least there are a few aspects to the track which reminded him of home, the green, green grass of home.
